From church picnics and courses to retreats and seasonal celebrations, there’s always something happening across our two locations. We are privileged to have several spaces that are booked by several groups from Painters to Dancers, Readers to the Contemplative.
Book Our Spaces
We hire out our spaces for external events. Is it a birthday party, club, meeting, fete, wedding, or another event? We are likely to have a space for you. We have five indoor spaces and a field overlooking the sea. Why not get in touch with our Bookings team, we might have what you are actually looking for.
Our group is run by enthusiastic, friendly volunteer leaders who have a passion for sharing Scouting adventures with our young members, teaching them 'Skills for Life'.
We believe you learn more when you're relaxed and having fun together! We help develop teamwork and leadership skills, allowing our young members to grow in confidence and make new friends.

At Second Steps, we nurture curiosity, creativity, and essential skills through play-based learning. Activities like art, music, storytelling, and outdoor fun support children's growth and well-being. We’re proud of our close ties to St. Paul’s Church and the Preston community, offering families a warm, connected environment. Our caring team builds meaningful relationships with every child.
We provide tailored support for children with SEND, ensuring all children can thrive.
Open weekdays, 9 AM to 3 PM during term time. Funded and non-funded places available.
