Services With Us

Worship Jesus, encounter His Word, and share in community
We gather regularly to worship Jesus, encounter His Word, and share in community across two locations. Whether you're new to church or a lifelong Christian, our services are open to all. There are regular services and occasional services.

Christ Church
Paignton

Sundays at 11:00am – Family-Friendly Anglican Worship
Our main Sunday gathering is open to everyone—whether you're exploring faith or a lifelong Christian. It is a warm and welcoming service rooted in the Anglican tradition and shaped by our commitment to the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and community life.

Expect sung worship, Scripture, Christ-centred teaching, and time for prayer ministry. Children and young people are always welcome; we love seeing every generation worship together and grow in faith.

Whether you come on your own, with family, or are new to church altogether, you’ll find a place to belong.

Wednesdays at noon – Midday Prayer
A short and peaceful midweek service of prayer, reflection, and stillness. All are welcome to pause and pray with us in the middle of the week.
There is always Holy communion every first Wednesday of the month.

St Paul
Preston

Sundays at 8:00 am – Traditional Communion Service
This quiet and reflective early morning service follows the Book of Common Prayer, offering the depth and beauty of traditional Anglican liturgy. Held in a peaceful atmosphere. During this service, Holy Communion is shared, and or a blessing if that is what you wish to receive.

The service is followed by refreshments and conversation, providing space for connection and fellowship.

Sundays at 9:30am – Family-Friendly Worship
Expect sung worship, Bible-based teaching, prayer ministry, and a warm sense of community. At the end, we stay on to share in the rich hospitality that this family offers.

Whether you’re just beginning to explore Christianity or looking for a place to belong, you’ll find a spiritual home here. There is the breaking of bread and sharing of wine every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month.

Baptism

Whenever it happens, whether as a baby, child or adult, baptism is at the heart of an amazing journey of faith as a follower of Jesus Christ. You are never too old to take this step, and being baptised as an adult is a wonderful experience.

You may have been baptised at a christening when you were a child or in a different Christian tradition, and there are always special ways to renew the promises that were made then in a fresh way as you discover more about what it means to live them out in your life.
You may have been baptised and wish to receive confirmation from the bishop. Get in touch with us.

Weddings

A church is so much more than simply a venue for your wedding. Unique and special things become part of your marriage, on the day itself and beyond: We would believe that under the presence of God one another, we can offer you a unique experience as you continue this journey of love whatever your story is.

Marriage is a big commitment and as you take this big decision, we are here to support you. If this is something you would like to talk about then let us know. We can discuss the nature of the service, advise about photographers or give some ideas about flowers and reception. If you wish to renew your vows or have a marriage blessing, get in touch and we will support you in doing just that.

Funerals

The death of a loved one is always hard, and as a church, we are here to walk with you through the grieving process. As you plan your loved one's funeral, we will listen to their story and yours as we plan their funeral service together, giving you space to speak and be heard in the busyness that surrounds the death of a loved one

After the initial news of the death of someone you know and loved, there are some important things that need to be done. These involve Registering the death and choosing your funeral director. These are two of the more immediate things. If you choose to have a Church of England funeral, we will meet with you to talk about details of the service and will be here to support you in such a difficult time.
