Junior
Choir

The Junior Choir at Christ Church & St Paul is a space for children to grow their talents in a safe environment. The choir offers high quality musical training for those aged 7-13 years in a supportive, faith-filled environment with no experience needed!

Children rehearse weekly after school and sing with special performances at Christmas, Easter, and community events. Alongside building musical skills, they will form strong friendships, and strong values for their flourishing in this ever changing world.

All the team have undergone our safeguarding process and been DBS checked and have a unique experience of working with young people.

Vintage
& Seniors

We honour those further along the journey with ministries of care, community, and prayer.

Our pastoral team offers visits to individual homes, care homes, hospitals and other settings. Many of those we visit are becoming a growing army of prayer warriors as part of our Guild of Simeon and Anna. Although anyone can become a member of the Guild, it is particularly focused on those of retirement age and beyond.

Membership is open to men and women of any Christian denomination. You may be able to join us at Church for our services, or you may receive communion at home. Please feel free to reach out if you'd like to find out more.

Grow
Together

Through our pioneers, Trevor and Holly, we offer spaces where all generations can thrive. One of these is Grow Together Tots.

At Grow Together Tots, we believe every child deserves a space where they feel safe, seen, and supported. Every Wednesday morning at St. Paul’s Church (9:30 am - 11:00 am), we open our doors to families with toddlers for a time of connection, play, and shared community.

Our group is parent-led, which means parents and carers remain responsible for their own children during each session. But you won’t be alone, we have a team of friendly, trained volunteers who help create a warm and welcoming environment. They’re always on hand to support the smooth running of the group and ensure our space remains safe and inclusive for everyone.

Safeguarding isn’t just a policy here, it’s a part of who we are. All our volunteers are safely recruited, DBS-checked, and trained in safeguarding procedures.

Mummy
and Me

One of our partners is Mummy and Me. Mummy and Me is a community-led support group for families across Torbay with babies from birth to around 12 months. We offer friendship, education and support, meeting weekly during term times.

Our sessions require no booking, just come along and make lots of friends. We have representations from qualified practitioners, who support mums in first aid, weaning, baby weighing to mention a few.

Additionally charities like Torbay Reusable Cloth Nappies and Sling Library attend from time to time as well as local breast feeding Peer Supporters and Kate Hancox who is the perinatal educator for Torbay. Kate helps support and signpost mums to advice and runs Musical Stretch. We see a huge need across the Bay for Mummy and Me.
Together with St Matthias Church we are working to support the Torquay community. So do come along, make friends, relax, whilst continuing postnatal education and having lots of fun!

Oldway
Primary School

At Christ Church, we are privileged to enjoy a close and growing relationship with Oldway Primary School, one of the most vibrant and community-minded schools in Paignton.

Rooted in shared values of aspiration, responsibility, and kindness, our partnership is a joyful expression of mutual trust, respect, and shared commitment to the flourishing of local children and families.

Throughout the year, our clergy and team are invited into the school to lead assemblies, support learning, and contribute to the spiritual life of the school community. In turn, we regularly welcome pupils, staff, and families from Oldway to our churches for special services and visits, especially during Harvest, Christmas, Easter, and other key moments in the school year.

We count it a privilege to walk alongside the team at Oldway as they nurture curiosity, confidence, and compassion in each child. Whether in assemblies, curriculum support, or seasonal services, we aim to reflect the light of Christ and serve our local school with prayerful generosity.

Preston
Primary School

We are grateful to share a strong and growing partnership with Preston Primary School, one of our closest neighbours and a school known for its innovative curriculum, vibrant culture, and commitment to excellence.
It is a privilege to be part of the school life through regular engagement, particularly in their Monday values assemblies, where once every half term we visit to reflect with children and staff on character, community, and shared values. These times are not only formative but also deeply joyful and relational.
At Christmas, we welcome Key Stage 2 pupils to St Paul’s Church for their Carol Concert, creating a beautiful and meaningful moment in the school year. These seasonal visits are full of music, warmth, and celebration and remind us all of the depth and richness of the Christmas story.
We are deeply thankful for the trust and relationship we share, and we remain committed to encouraging the spiritual, moral, and social development of each child.
